KUREDU ISLAND RESORT MALDIVES

On the northern edge of the Lhaviyani Atoll, 40 minutes by seaplane from Malé, Kuredu is one of the largest islands in the Maldives with about 3 kilometres of sandy beaches. The informal and lively resort boasts a wealth of facilities as well as a varied choice of accommodation in three separate resort areas. The diving here is especially good and there’s an excellent choice of sports, including a 6-hole pitch & putt course, tennis and kite-boarding! Exotic, thatched bungalows and spacious villas:

Nine room types of accommodation offer an amazing variety to perfectly fit into your individual concept of holiday. Be it the location of your accommodation, the restaurant you wish to dine in, or the facilities in the room – the choice is all yours.

Beach Bungalows line most of the northern beach of the island and are comfortably furnished with rattan furniture and a spacious open-air bathroom with walk-in shower and tastefully arranged garden. The Garden Bungalows are located amidst a tastefully landscaped garden just behind the Beach Villas in the north-eastern part of the island. The Garden Bungalows are the same as the Beach Bungalows in design and facilities offered. They are just a few steps away from the beach.

Kuredu Island Resort Maldives Jacuzzi Villa

Cosy, comfortable Beach Villas with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, are located on the fine white beach just a few steps from the beautiful lagoon on the south centre part of the island. These villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area, a small garden and are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture, romantic open-air bathrooms, walk-in shower and feature a furnished veranda. Romantic Jacuzzi Beach Villas with views of the Indian Ocean are located at the southern beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon. Each villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi.

Fabulous Sangu Water Villas on wooden columns in the north-west side of the lagoon feature a romantic view of the sunset from the secluded furnished veranda, sun deck and steps down to the beautiful lagoon. From the veranda you can watch baby reef-sharks learning to hunt or small rays resting in the quiet lagoon. These villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area and are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The bathrooms feature a walk-in shower overlooking the turquoise lagoon.

The Sultan Pool Villas are located at the west centre part of the island, tucked into rich tropical vegetation and are the epitome of tranquil luxury within the unique Kuredu profile. The villas have a large wooden deck with an outdoor ‘open-wall’ concept living room with thatch ceiling under a cedar shingle roof, comfortable stylish seating overlooking the private swimming pool, surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The bedroom is furnished with a romantic four-poster king-size bed in teak wood. Each has a separate dressing area with a walk-in wardrobe and a mini pantry equipped with a mini-bar and wine cooler. A magnificent semi-open bathroom with twin ceramic counter top washbasins and a large shaded walk-in rain shower, a Jacuzzi bath tub and all amenities set amidst yet another private tropical garden. For the comfort of the guests, each pool villa also has a private beach cabana with sun loungers.

A delicious assortment of cuisine:

Bonthi Restaurant is located within the signature building of Kuredu in the centre of the island and is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows and Garden Bungalows. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights chosen from around the world. Koamas Restaurant is also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu, serving international and local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island comprising some Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas. Sangu Restaurant is the allocated restaurant for the guests in the Sangu Water Villas. This restaurant does not accept table reservations for guests below 12 years of age.

‘O’ Restaurant with a deck spreading over the water on the eastern end of the island has an ambience of being at one with nature. This is the allocated restaurant for the new Beach Villas on the north-eastern part of the island. The ‘O’ Restaurant restricts admission to all its facilities only to guests above 12 years of age. The Sangu, ‘O’ Restaurant & Koamas serve wide buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests in the Sangu Water Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Beach Villas can also eat in main restaurants other than their allocated restaurant if they choose to with a prior table reservation subject to above mentioned age restrictions.

Enjoy a romantic evening at The Beach serving your choice of BBQ steaks, lobster and seafood for dinner. The Far East with a Thai chef offering treats from all of Asia, is open for dinner only. Don’t miss the fabulous Lobster Curry. Fianco’s is an all-day Italian dining and snack restaurant open between 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. serving late breakfast, pizza, pasta, hamburgers and sandwiches. Tea House is the local choice, serving Maldivian snacks, short-eats and curries, hot but very tasty. No alcoholic beverages are served in this outlet.

Island Bars:

Babuna Bar is the main bar within the main signature building featuring entertainment and disco dancing. Akiri Bar is a quiet bar for a romantic evening. Pool Bar located by the main swimming pool specialises in cool cocktails like, margaritas, daiquiris. Sangu Bar (with the sunset view) is the bar for Sangu guests. ‘O’ Bar is luxury entwined with a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. Visit the Golf Bar and quench your thirst with a cold beer or a soft drink after your golf practice.

Sai Kotari is a romantic tea house. Situated at the end of Kuredu harbour, Sai Kotari offers  exclusive fresh Ceylon tea in 9 different flavours and a variety of coffee cocktails from dusk till midnight.

Sport Facilities:

Many sports facilities are available for the active guest. The latest addition to the sports facilities is the 6-hole Pitch & Putt Golf Course and the full length Driving Range. The golf course also features a Pro Shop where you can rent or purchase golf clubs as well as other golf equipment, and a bar. There is a fully equipped air-conditioned gym with a multi-station workout machine, treadmills, exercise bicycles, dumbbells and bell bars. There is also a floodlit tennis court with international standards. Volleyball on the beach is organised daily. Football, badminton, table tennis and darts are other popular sport activities.
